If we are to discuss emotions, it could be said that the first step is to fully understand what an Emotion even is. If we keep, even subconsciously, attributing canine emotions and behaviours solely to their minds we are not only missing the messages they offer us, but the whole other half of dog training and a chance to truly understand dogs.
